Shipston-on-Stour Beekeepers Annual General Meeting
February 15 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
The 2022 Annual General Meeting of the Shipston-on-Stour Branch of Warwickshire Beekeepers Association is to be held on Tuesday 15th February.
The venue for the meeting is Brailes Village Hall (OX15 5AS). Doors open 19:15 for a 19:30 start.
We will circulate the detailed Agenda for the meeting in due course. The outline agenda and timings are:
20:00hrs Buffet supper
20:30hrs Guest Speaker: Celia Davies NDB will give us a talk ‘How a bee works’
Any propositions that you would like the AGM to consider should be detailed to the Secretary by email email@example.com at least 14 days prior to the date of the meeting.
We remind you that only Members can raise propositions or propose candidates for Committee roles so if you have not yet renewed your membership of Shipston Beekeepers now might be a good time to do so.
The Annual Reports (Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary etc.) will be circulated in due course along with the Agenda, and in good time for the AGM. We ask you to read these before the AGM so that we can move swiftly through the agenda whilst making sure that we have time to address any questions raised.
Members are reminded that we have two important vacancies on the Committee:
Chair-elect: The current Chair, Paul Baines, will be stepping down from the role when his term ends at the 2023 AGM. The purpose of the Chair-Elect role is to shadow the current Chair so when they become Chair they know how Shipston Beekeepers works.
Secretary: Gary Thomas is currently covering this role but as he is also Treasurer, Membership Secretary and Webmaster he will need to relinquish the role of Interim secretary at this AGM.
If you would like further information on either role please contact the Secretary via email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We do hope as many of you as possible will be able to come along to the AGM. This is our first physical meeting since last November so a good chance to catch up with fellow beekeepers. It is also of course a good opportunity to meet the Committee and pass on to them any thoughts you might have about Shipston Beekeepers.
